Each Spring students in the Ann Arbor Public Schools participate in State of Michigan required testing. Here is more information on each of our State assessments:

 

Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress (M-STEP)

Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress (M-STEP) replaces the forty year-old Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) and moves test administration from the fall to the spring of each school year. This will allow student measurement to be based upon current versus prior year learning. Here are the content areas being tested:

MI-Access is Michigan's alternate assessment system, designed for students who have, or function as if they have,  cognitive impairments whose IEP (Individualized Educational Program) Team has determined that general assessments, even with accommodations, 是不合适的. MI-Access satisfies the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) as reauthorized in 2004 and the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001 that requires all students with disabilities to be assessed at the state level.

WIDA
WIDA (World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment) is a consortium of states dedicated to the design and implementation of high standards and equitable educational opportunities for English langu年龄 learners. W-APT stands for the WIDA-ACCESS Placement Test. 这个评估工具, 被称为“筛选者”, should be used by educators to measure the English langu年龄 proficiency of students who have recently arrived in the U.S. or in a particular district. It can help to determine whether or not a child is in need of English langu年龄 instructional services.
